CHD Developers launches phase III of Karnal township [25th Aug 2011, Financial Chronicle]

 
CHD Developers, a Delhi-based firm, has expanded its flagship township CHD City Karnal by an additional 23 acres of plotted development by launching phase III of the township, which will be a plotted development. The total area of 23 acres has been divided into 215 plots for construction purposes. The sale value of the third phase has been fixed at Rs 125 crores.

CHD plans to expand the tow­nship further and the total size would extend to 300 acres. In order to give it a contemporary feel, architecture and landscaping has been given special emphasis. Sanjay Puri, a renowned town-planner, has done the master planning of the township.

Says Ravi Saund, COO, CHD Developers, “The CHD city will offer its residents facilities like landscaped parks, schools, hea­lthcare centres, food and entertainment zones, all within the township. We have also joined hands with Educomp Infra­structure and School Mana­g­ement to set up ‘The Millennium School’ within the township. While the school will offer the residents of Karnal high quality education in sync with top class technology, the kids in CHD City will enjoy the unique ‘walk to school’ concept.” The central park is spread over five acres and comprises water bodies, kid’s zone, jogger’s track and an amphitheatre for around 50 people. “The city has a prefabricated boundary wall, vegetable and milk booths are also being constructed and the whole design has been done according to Vastu,” he added. A renowned healthcare chain from Delhi has agreed to set up a 200-bed multi-specialty hospital in CHD City. A place for worship for all the residents is also nearing completion, and a multi-cuisine food court spread over 20,000 sq ft has also been planned. Leading food & restaurant brand, Hal­diram’s,will be a part of the food court.

The developers have set up compact substations instead of transformers to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to the residents.
